CARB Compliant Products

CPA has been conducting testing and certification of industry products for more than 25 years, and was designated by CARB as “TPC-1” in 2008, denoting the first CARB-approved third party testing and certification agency in the world.

The companies and facilities on the NAF, ULEF & NAUF company list are either:

1) certified to produce composite panels in compliance with Phase 1 or Phase 2 emission requirements of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) ATCM 93120; or

2) have secured a “no added formaldehyde (NAF)” or “ultra low emitting formaldehyde (ULEF)” resin designation and thus not requiring third party certification under this regulation; or

3) are not covered by this regulation based on the definition of their product as hardboard.

All are clients of the CPA Grademark Certification Program, members of CPA, or companies for which CPA has done testing through its International Testing and Certification Center (ITCC).
